My website, www.amypadgett.com, has been around for a really, REALLY long time so I decided it was time for a refresh and an update. Over the years, I’ve built up a library of information about roses (mostly old garden roses that were hybridized before 1900), birds, gardening, writing, and those kinds of things. I was briefly the newsletter editor for a local rose club and wrote a number of articles for that endeavor. Since the articles are not “date sensitive” I will be placing them back up here over time.

I’ll also post articles about various outdoors topics related to bird watching (birding), gardening, and other things (up to and including astronomy) that interest me. I’m hoping someone finds the information helpful or at least interesting. I’ll try not to make anyone angry but can’t promise anything as that is out of my control for the most part. Interpretation of written material can be a tricky thing.

This isn’t much of an introduction, but it’s what I’ve got for now.
